Bhrigu Bindu is a point which has a significant effect on one's destiny. It can activate and trigger major events in one's life. Such events can be as big as someone getting married, changing their course of life, changing location, changing profession, etc. This is a midpoint between Rahu and Moon (not the other way around) in a Vedic astrology birth-chart.
The way to calculate this point is a very simple technique. You need to simply add the degrees of the Rahu and Moon in a birth-chart and divide it by 2. The remainder is your Bhrigu Bindu or Destiny point. For example, if Rahu in your birth-chart is placed at 3 degree 12 minutes of Taurus and your Moon is at 5 degree 45 minutes of Aquarius, then you add up the two such as Rahu 33.12 + 305.45 = 338.57. After dividing this by 2, we get the remainder of 169.28. Hence the destiny point for such an individual would be 169 degree and 28 minutes, or 19 degree and 28 minutes in the sign of Virgo.
After we determine this point, we can simply check the significance of the point by analysing the birth-chart on the basis of any planets placed in that sign, any significant conjunctions occurring there-in, the house cusp being placed in or a couple of degrees before or after that point, or any significant planet in the birth-chart aspecting the point, or a significant planet transiting that point.
Based on such information and performing certain permutations and combinations based on it, we can deduce events. For instance, if a big and slow moving planet like Jupiter or Saturn transit that point, a bigger event can be predicted, and a smaller faster moving planet or Moon may depict an event of lesser significance. Rahu's exact 9th aspect may indicate foreign travel or at least receiving guests from far off foreign lands, etc. There can be many such events which can be predicted. Another example that can be taken is, if Jupiter is the lord of the 7th house of marriage for a female native, then Jupiter transiting over Bhrigu Bindu can certainly depict meeting your future husband during in the couple of days around the time when it transits over the point, or a marriage being fixed for such a native. Many other such conclusions can be drawn based on similar combinations, keeping in mind other aspects, conjunctions and effects and general birth-chart placements.
