The Specific Points of Destiny! Yogi/Avayogi Points, Duplicate Yogi and Associated Planets!

There are many secrets in astrology, and one of the gems, that is often looked over is the concept of the Yogi point, Avayogi point, the planets associated with both of them, as well as the Duplicate yogi planet. Yogi point is a special destiny point or 'specific degree' in one's horoscope which can trigger some extremely auspicious events, where as the Avayogi point can bring about hindrances in our path.

It is not so difficult to find these positions, as the astrology softwares now a days calculate and display these specified degrees and planets in the Astrology Birthchart report. If you take a consultation from me, the report will certainly mention these, and I do also explain them in relation to your life.

Beginning with the Yogi point, it can be a specific degree which is calculated with respect to the inter-relation of the Sun and the Moon at the time of the native's birth. It can be for example 2 degree 34 minutes of Virgo, or 18 degree 20 minutes of Taurus, or any other position in the 360 degree sky, and it can be placed in any house in one's chart. The lord of the Nakshatra where the yogi point is posited becomes the Yogi planet, so in the two example degrees we have taken above, either the Sun or the Moon become the Yogi planets respectively for the assumed degree placements of the Yogi point. Now, the auspicious results of the Yogi point is usually received during the main period of the associated Yogi planet (if it is otherwise well placed, or at least not badly placed in the horoscope of the native). Some sudden or quick big or small auspicious results can also be experienced when a major planet in the chart directly transits over the Yogi point or directly aspects it. Such planets usually can be the lord of the ascendant, Jupiter or Saturn. While other faster moving planets can also have an influence, it is usually not as significant as the transit of the mentioned planets.

Now the Avayogi point is exactly the 6th Nakshatra from the Yogi planet's Nakshatra and the exact position will be mentioned in the report for your better understanding. This is a rather difficult point, and can cause damage or loss to the native at the worst or bring about a big or small hindrance in the native's life path at the least. However, if the Avayogi planet (the planet which owns the Nakshatra of the Avayogi point) is otherwise a functional benefic and well placed in the Birthchart, then even if the planet does bring about some undesirable results initially, it ultimately will do overall good for the native. Transits of the bigger planets like Jupiter and Saturn over this specific point can at times be rather difficult, but the overall chart must be analysed before coming to a conclusion regarding this.

Lastly, the Duplicate yogi is simply the lord of the zodiac sign in which the Yogi point is situated. Such a planet is usually considered auspicious in the Birthchart and brings about positive opportunities for the native, and at times acts as a bridge between the other two. It's time periods are positive if otherwise placed well and positively in the chart.

In my experience of looking at my client's and friend's Birthcharts, I have noticed this concept to be working quite well in the biggest majority of cases.

Hope this would help you understand the rather less talked about concept in Vedic astrology. May God bless us all.
